Wake up in time to make first chair at 9 am. Take the Silver Queen Express to the High lift, and observe the bomb holes made by ski patrol right under the lift. If the front side is steep enough to slide, you can bet the rest of the terrain will be equally aggressive. Prepare yourself.
If you’re lucky, you’ll ski right up to a rope drop on Teocalli Bowl. Traverse high right, and keep going until the trees open up just enough. The snow will be soft, so let ‘er rip. At the bottom, a quick hike out will dump you above Paradise bowl.
From the bottom of Paradise bowl, steer right and jump on the North Face lift. This T-Bar easily accesses most of Crested Butte’s Extremes: the double-black-diamond terrain the resort’s famous for. Traverse right for open bowls and occasional cliff drops, or stay left to farm the powder in the trees. If you find yourself above a mandatory air, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
The Extremes will dump you at East River, or Paradise lift. Once you ride Paradise, hop back on the North Face t-bar. Find your line in Spellbound, Phnoenix, or Staircase. Head back up Paradise, repeat.
