5 Lessons from the 2012 Teva Mountain Games

Let’s be clear. We know skiing. It’s why we run a magazine dedicated to skiing. We like other sports too, but by no means can we claim to experts in those sports. So when we got the invite to attend the Summer Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado, we tried to take it all in and learn from the incredibly talented athletes of the unfamiliar mountain sports. Here's what we gleaned from last weekend’s Teva Mountain Games.

Lesson 1: Everyone loves to watch dogs jump nearly 30 feet off a dock. Lots of dogs love to huck themselves nearly 30 feet off a dock. It is a perfectly symbiotic and entertaining relationship.
