DIY: Fix a Core Shot
Step 3
Photo: George Retseck

Use a metal scraper to plane off extra material so it sits flush with the base. Avoid making it level on the first scrape or you risk prying the new P-tex loose. Instead, shave the new P-tex off bit by bit. Run a brass brush over the weld to help put some structure back into the P-tex. Now hot-wax your skis.
