Never mind that this ski was co-designed by Sage Cattabriga Alosa and Dana Flahr. Don’t worry that it’s intended for attacking spine walls in Alaska. Except for the rarest occasion, I’m one of those skiers that throws rigid form to the wind. I do like going fast, skiing powder, and doing the occasional helicopter spin. I’m not Sage or Dana, and I love this ski. It’s a hybrid of Atomic’s Atlas and Bentchetler—two big mountain skis with totally different personalities. The result is an easy turning ski with guts thanks to minimal tail rocker, metal underfoot, and a rockered tip featuring plenty of taper. Translation? Slackers like me can rip this ski anywhere, and when it’s time to step on the gas, it’s automatic.
