Favorite Apres Beer: At the risk of sounding like a Crocs-wearing, mint-condition-townie-bike-riding, yoga-mat-carrying, visor-sporting, wavy-blond-haired, Crest-Whitestripping Boulder bro, I'm hooked on New Belgium's organic http://www.newbelgium.com/beers_mw.php target=_blank> Mothership Wit.
Why it's your fave: In a pint glass, with a slice of lemon, this light, infinitely drinkable brew puts me in a spring mood, which means corn season in the Indian Peaks of Colorado. Since I hit a tree and broke my back in January and missed the meat of the season, this I-Peaks corn season will BE my season. I'm just waiting for a canned version of Mo-ship, so I can crush it on my forehead on the summits I plan to crush all spring long.
Ideal situation to drink it in: Lounging on the summit of Mt. Toll before a 1,200 descent through fields of sweet corn. In my lawn, barefoot, after returning home from skiing. Landscaping my yard, working in my garden, attending church, or sitting at my desk at work. It's hard to think of an inappropriate occasion.
