On May 16, Christy Mahon of Aspen, Colorado became the first woman to climb and ski all 54 14ers in the state. With the completion of her final climb, Capitol Peak (west of Aspen), she joins the company of seven people overall who have achieved this feat. Now, more than two weeks after her achievement, she still can’t believe her years-long goal is completed. “Sometimes I keep having to remind myself that I did it,” says Mahon.
