After her achievement (and a trip to Mexico for some sun and surf), she says that she is grateful for her experience, but she’s also glad she can spend more weekends at home to “catch up on life.” Her garden and her tennis game are sure to flourish now that she will be home more, she says. She’s also thankful that everyone stayed safe and she didn’t suffer any injuries while she was working on the project. Her advice for anyone wishing to hike and ski a 14er: always bring an emergency and repair kit in case ski bindings break. Overnight supplies just in case, is not a bad idea either. “I’m grateful to have done it with my husband and great friends,” Mahon says.
