ON3P: Skis of a Different Sort.
Bernoulli's Folly
Photo: Courtesy of ON3P Skis

SKIING: Why?

Tych: Same sort of idea as the OAR. Large symmetrical powder skis are a ton of fun, but I want the tail to sink in powder instead of floating behind me and making me ride backseat. The keyhole is both to reduce the surface area in the tail and to create a roostertail of snow. The idea concerning the wing was because I thought powder might act like a fluid, and airfoils seem to work in water and air.

SKIING: How does it work?

TYCH: I cant really comment on it so far, partly because its such a new design (I got to ski it myself for the first time only last week), and partly because we've yet to release some further prototypes in this line of design. I can tell you that in spring slush, they produce one of the most insane rooster tails ever.
