ON3P: Skis of a Different Sort.
The OAR

SKIING: Why?

TYCH: I love skiing powder, and my love of fat skis has pretty much put me on a 120mm waist ski most every day. My hope was to create a ski that can ride in powder, not skim the top of the snowpack or trench and submarine. Thus, a hybrid might be the solution, and thus, the OAR.

SKIING: What did you learn?

Tych: This ski was a confidence booster - more so than anything we got from the actual way it skis, it gave us the confidence and knowledge that we can successfully build some of our far out ideas. I had a pretty cool moment when I was looking down at my tips at the top of this untracked meadow, after conceptualizing the ski and thinking about it during all of last years production season, it was crazy to be there with them.
