Week 2 prize
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm the K2 Skis Rolling Stones Sidestash.
For the Western resort skier, the Sidestash isn’t so fat it’s useless in typical frontside conditions (crud, groomed, worse), but it’s plenty fat for excellent flotation on all but the deepest powder days. It’s part of K2’s Backside series of men’s sidcountry-ready fat skis, and it’s the fattest ski in the series that has vibration-dampening metal reinforcement. It’s a metal-reinforced, wood-core (aspen/paulownia/maple), Hybritech Sidewall construction (sturdy vertical sidewall underfoot for edge grip, lightweight cap fore and aft for supple flex). K2’s All-Terrain Rocker combines 70 percent camber with 30 percent tip/shovel rocker to smooth the ride, enhance forgiveness and improve soft-snow flotation. The Powder Tip is tapered so it’s less easily deflected and swing weight is reduced. For those expecting to use it as a touring ski, pre-cut skins are sold separately, and the tip and tail have skin-ready attachment holes. It weighs 2,170 grams at 181 cm.
