The best mountaineering and ski worlds work for CMH and many call Cariboo Lodge home. There’s the legendary Ernst Buehler (seen here), a twinkled-eyed Swiss émigré who’s guided at CMH for over 40 years and plays a mean Alpenhorn. Dave Gauley, one of the premiere extreme skiers in the world who’s bagged first descents across the globe, is another standout and the pioneer of Cariboo’s Steep Camps, which run in April. These boys will get you into the sickest lines possible given the weather and snow pack, knowing exactly which lines you can ride, and which will ride you.
