This young campus is just 9-years-old, and is located in Bend, Oregon, only 22 miles from Mount Bachelor Ski Resort. Students without transportation can ride the ski resort’s shuttle bus, carpool, or take the campus van offered through their Campus Adventures program. The program takes several trips up to Mt. Bachelor each week, depending on the student-demand. Proximity to the ski hill, a small student-to-faculty ratio and relatively low tuition costs are a big draw for students. The OSU Cascades Campus offers academic programs such as Tourism and Outdoor Leadership—that offers a winter resort management course each year, using Mt. Bachelor as their lab— Energy Engineering Management, and Hospitality Management to students interested in a ski-related degree.
