Crested Butte is best known for two things: gnarly terrain and locals who aren’t afraid to let their freak flags fly. The Seven Hours of the Banana is both of those things to a T. Teams or individuals race to see how many laps they can make on the steep, bumpy and narrow Banana , off of the Silver Queen lift in (duh) seven hours. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and it benefits the Adaptive Sports Center and Crested Butte Ski Club.
