The bible of out of bounds safety was written by Bruce Tremper, who’s been the director of the Utah Avalanche Center since 1986. It’s slammed full of information, but it’s organized and explained in an easy-to-absorb manner.

Edge of Never-Bill Kerig
In 1996, ski mountaineer Trevor Petersen died skiing in France. In 2005, his son Kye, who was 15 at the time, went back to Chamonix to ski the line that killed his father. The Edge of Never, which was also made into a movie, is the story of that trip.

Wild Snow-Lou Dawson
