Tested: Helmet Cams
JVC Adixxion

MSRP: $299.95

Likes:

-The LCD viewfinder allows the user to frame a shot and playback in the field.

-The menu is easy to use and understand.

-Digital Zoom makes the camera more versatile.

-Manual White Balance Setting helps to adjust for specific conditions (also has Auto option).

-Image Stabilizer (IS) option helps minimize camera shake.

-Two built in threaded tripod mounts.

-Time Lapse Feature.

Dislikes:

-The lens protector can fog in changing temperatures, gets dust/dirt behind it and scratches easily.

-Mounts are shaky and unstable.

-The Adixxion records at exactly 30FPS, making it inconsistent to the traditional frame rate of 29.97FPS. These are close enough to be similar in an editing timeline but can produce render bars or dropped frames if editing with 29.97FPS footage.
