The week at Icefall was my first backcountry lodge experience and definitely will not be my last. The lodge setup provides for a unique experience and the skiing was simply unbelievable. While helicopters and snowcats make for quick work of the vertical they can eat up your cash just as quickly. At a backcountry lodge like Icefall you only pay for extra vertical in sweat and calories expended.--Jeremy Benson
