Mark Udall: Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
As a 5th Generation Westerner, Mark Udall has deep roots in the mountains. He formed the Congressional Ski and Snowboard Caucus and represents the 2nd District of Colorado in the House of Reps. His efforts to support the sport of skiing have centered around protecting the economies of ski towns across Colorado, including the encouragement of year-round activities at ski resorts and the discouragement of overseas exports (like ski and snowboard apparel) in order to keep local ski businesses thriving. Not only does he ski, he's also an avid mountain climber. He has conquered all of Colorado's 14ers (that's 54 mountain peaks above 14,000 feet in elevation) and attempted many of the toughest peaks in the world.
