Atomic Crimson Ti (2013)
Tester's Review
Long a tester favorite, the Crimson Ti has been around, but it keeps up with the times. Rockered now, it's still knifey like a race ski but not at the expense of fun. It's damp and sturdy (No. 1 in Stability), but far from sluggish (ditto for Rebound). It's wide enough for soft-snow fun but a go-fast carver at heart. Aggressive input gets the most out of it. Best give it what it wants. "Powerful, nimble, capable, fearless. Unassailably in the first rank." NOTES: Atomic's Nomad series combines on-trail agility with off-trail versatility. By using a combination of step down sidewalls, tip rocker, and camber underfoot, Atomic makes a Nomad series ski for all levels of skier. The Crimson TI uses an 88-millimeter waist and TI for aggressive skiers who enjoy hard snow performance.
