How wide is an everyday all-mountain ski these days? AtomicÕs new Vantage series starts at 87 mm. The Alibi, at 98 mm, is second widest. In the extra-competitive Mixed West, testers were picking nits, dinging it for un-Atomic-like indifference on hard snow, where its broad, smeary shovel is a bit of a liability. But throw some powder at it and the Alibi comes to lifeÑequal parts smooth, playful, and gutsy.
