At 90 mm underfoot, the Aspect is the widest model in Black Diamond's Tour series. Tour series skis are designed with weight and efficiency in mind. The Aspect has a bit of tip rocker and full camber underfoot for a more traditional feel. The Convert uses a mix of carbon and fiberglass laminates, a paulownia wood core, and thinner sidewalls to find the balance between weight and downhill performance. Sandwich-sidewall construction improves this ski's integrity on hardpack. Metal tabs on the ski's tail improve compatibility with climbing skins. All of Black Diamond's skis are being built in a new, state-of-the-art, company-owned factory in China.
