Black Diamond Verdict (2011)
The Verdict? It’s an uncomplicated all-mountain ski that our big testers (200 pounds or more) enjoyed most. With a healthy but versatile 102 millimeters of waist width, standard camber, and no rocker, it’s a throwback to a recent era and therefore favors traditional skiers accustomed to powering their boards around. It shines at speed, delivering long, sweeping, chatter-free turns. Testers agreed its lightweight feel would be well suited to touring.
PRICE (MSRP): $630.00
