For women, Wasatch-based Bluehouse builds two dedicated models, the BCC (or Big Cottonwood Canyon) and the LCC (or Little Cottonwood Canyon). As its name suggests, the BCC is the bigger of the two, with a 108 mm waist. It's a twintip with low camber and a thinner profile that gives it an appropriately softer flex for women. It's a bamboo-core, glass-reinforced laminate construction. Bluehouse, established in 2007, is located in Salt Lake City, where it builds some of its skis and all of its prototypes in a downtown factory/warehouse. Sales are online-only (bluehouseskis.com). It collaborates with local artists on topsheet graphics.
