For women, Wasatch-based Bluehouse builds two dedicated models, the BCC (or Big Cottonwood Canyon) and the LCC (or Little Cottonwood Canyon). Where the bigger BCC is built with deep snow in mind, the LCC is intended for everyday frontside conditions, with a waist width appropriate to firmer snow. It's a twintip laminate construction built on a wood core with glass reinforcement. Bluehouse, established in 2007, is located in Salt Lake City, where it builds some of its skis and all of its prototypes in a downtown factory/warehouse. Sales are online-only (bluehouseskis.com). It collaborates with local artists on topsheet graphics.
