Dynastar Legend Sultan 85 (2010)
Every part of this versatile ski seemed aware of what the rest of the ski was up to; for example, the tip didn’t wander off the arc while the tail finished. One tester called it “a harmonious design.” Edge grip was constant from early initiation through mellow, unexplosive finish. PLUS: Earned high marks in the areas of stability, energy, hard snow, and versatility. MINUS: In crud, it deflected and felt hooky due to its early-initiating, low-riding tip.
PRICE (MSRP): $760.00
