The Outland 80 is identical in construction to the Outland 87, but with a narrower waist (80 mm), a lower price ($750 MSRP), and carvier with more trail-oriented sidecut. It comes with a 12-DIN Look NX binding, which is slightly lighter and less powerful than the 87's, but the ski gets the same basalt-fiber core reinforcement for damp-but-not-dead performance at speed.
The returning Outland collection comprises three models designed for versatile all-mountain performance, ranging in width from 87 mm down to 75 mm and in price from $950 down to $550 MSRP. All models are wood-core Autodrive constructions - a signature Dynastar combination of vertical sidewalls underfoot for edge grip and softer cap construction toward the tip and tail for softer flex and more forgiving turn entries and exits. Subtle tip and tail rocker enhances that effect, while also absorbing shocks and improving flotation in soft snow. Dynastar also shapes the "3D" core in a way that's thinner in the middle, thicker near the edges, putting mass where it helps to enhance edge stability and removing it where it obstructs flex. All are sold as systems, with binding.
