Faction Soma (2013)
The Soma has the same sidecut as the Wednesday and the Heroine, which means it's built to be a versatile, all-mountain performer, but it's rockered at the tip and tail, which should make it float better in powder, and therefore a better choice for Westerners. It also has STP technology, in which Faction presses small waves into the length of the ski, allowing the company to use less wood for a lighter, hence easier, ski. Still, its flex is so stiff that Faction touts the Soma as the Wednesday on steroids.
