Skiers of a certain age will remember " piezoelectric" fibers from K2's attempt to disperse vibration energy through a light in the ski's top sheet. Head uses the fibers to capture and store kinetic energy in a chip and--Head says--employ it to fire you out of your turns. Whether or not that voodoo sauce is responsible, our testers loved this carver's smooth, on-rails feel. Prefers medium-radius turns.
