Head Peak 88 (2010)
The Peak 88 shines in long GS turns on hardpack, but it also bullies through soft crud effectively. Its highest scores came in hard-snow performance and energy, though the latter was manifest as cool and calm rather than lively. PLUS: The Peak 88’s stability provides enough peace of mind to think one turn ahead. MINUS: It’s hard to manipulate the turn radius; the ski chattered when forced into short arcs.
PRICE (MSRP): $1290.00
