The Raptor is simple, straightforward, and has few flaws-except for the fact that it will point out yours, quickly. It responds to a strong skier but it is stout flexing and that means that errors in both edging and judgment do not go unpunished. This is a race boot for the rest of us-no creature comforts, no feature frills, no gooey granola switch. It has a solid sole, rigid boot board. Buy the boot, see your bootfitter, suck it up and ski. Actually, it's not entirely fair to say no creature comforts, as the Raptor liner is much improved over previous incarnations and offers a smooth and even (if firm) flex feel. Dual cuff adjustment is becoming an increasingly rare feature but it’s here along with a removable Velcro spoiler. Tester comments: "Finally, a real boot. Dead on begs to be skied full tilt. Strongest in the test." "A giant killer. Tell it to go…and hang on. The quickest boot in the test."
