Head Vector 120 (2010)
With 103 spacious millimeters of forefoot width, the Vector 120 is roomy and warm. You’d think that volume might detract from on-snow precision but, while it’s not as reactive as a race boot, it offers support and feedback on anything softer than boilerplate. PLUS: The buckles are built like spinal columns and are said to compress the shell evenly and eliminate pressure points. MINUS: Slow to respond in quick hard-snow turns.
