The AMP 80XTi is the most aggressive ski in K2's AMP series of men's all-mountain-performance skis. Its 80 mm waist and All-Terrain Rocker give it some soft-snow flotation and off-piste functionality, and a layer of metal gives it high-speed calm for expert all-mountain skiers. It's a wood-core (fir/aspen) metal-laminate Hybritech construction (sturdy vertical sidewall underfoot for edge grip, lightweight cap fore and aft for supple flex). It's sold either flat (no binding) or as a system with a 12-DIN Marker/K2 MXC binding. K2's All-Terrain Rocker combines 70 percent camber with 30 percent tip/shovel rocker to smooth the ride, enhance forgiveness and improve soft-snow flotation. ROX technology combines forgiveness of tip rocker with performance-enhancing Mod Technology (an independently acting secondary core, raised above the topsheet, works in conjunction with strategically placed vibration dampening module to lessen vibrations and improve edge grip) and adds extra carbon-fiber reinforcement placed so as to stiffen torsional rigidity.
