The Domain, part of the Park/Pipe/Urban series of athlete-inspired, youth-driven twintips, is K2's dedicated park ski, built for optimized jibbing. Says K2: "Its (symmetrical) Jib Rocker and park-specific flex pattern softens the tips and tails for smoothing out quick tranny's while remaining torsionally rigid underfoot for total confidence on 50-foot park tables or icy hardpack." With its Symmetrical Taper, the tip and tail are of equal widths, so it arcs the same going forward or backward. It's designed to be center-mounted. K2's Jib Rocker combines symmetrical rocker tip and tail with zero camber underfoot for easy spinning from forward to switch and back. It's a metal-free wood-core (aspen) torsion-box construction (the core is sheathed in a "triaxially braided" sock of fiberglass, with tri-directional fibers aligned for optimal lateral, longitudinal and torsional rigidity.) Its TwinTech sidewalls are beveled inward at the top to protect them from damage caused by the opposite ski's edge. As with all K2 park skis, the edges are extra thick (3.5 mm) to withstand park/urban abuse, and the base graphic is as cool as the topsheet.
