The Hellbent, widest of all K2's at 132 mm, is built to make a statement, and it does. Part of K2's Factory Team of athlete-inspired, youth-driven twintips with loud counterculture graphics, and it's clearly designed to make the most of the deepest big-mountain powder, with ample rocker and width for surfing and slashing. It's a metal-free wood-core (aspen) construction. TwinTech sidewalls are beveled inward at the top to protect them from damage caused by the other ski's edge. K2's Powder Rocker combines 50 percent traditional camber (underfoot) with 50 percent pronounced rocker (tip and tail) for ultimate deep-powder surfiness and just enough hard-snow carvability to get you back to the lift. The Powder Tip is tapered so it's less easily deflected and swing weight is reduced. Tip and tail hardware is removable, and the holes readily accept trim-to-fit K2 skins for touring. As with all Factory Team skis, the edges are extra thick (3.5 mm) for enhanced durability, and the base graphic is as cool as the topsheet.
