K2 Payback (2010)
Freeheelers need not be disappointed about the discontinuation of K2’s telemark line. The PayBack picks up where the Dawn Patrol left off—plenty of sidecut and four more millimeters in the waist for better flotation. (It has the fattest midsection in this category.) Testers loved it for making quick turns
in technical terrain. Plus: Fun. Snappy. Effortless. Minus: Shaky when making high-speed, long-radius turns on ice.
