The lightweight, entry-level Stinger is the least expensive model in K2's AMP line of all-mountain performance skis, intended predominantly for use on groomed snow at slow to moderate speeds. Available as a system, it comes with a 10-DIN Marker/K2 M2 binding. Also available flat for $400. K2's Catch Free Rocker combines 80 percent camber with 20 percent tip rocker, making the ski easy to pivot and turn at slow speeds for those still learning to carve. The Stinger is an inexpensive foam-core cap construction with glass reinforcement, so it's light and easy flexing. Mod Technology features an independently acting secondary core, raised above the deck, to focus power transmission where needed and reduce vibrations for better edge grip and high-speed calm.
