Swiss brand Movement ("the freeski company") makes a full line of skis that include narrow carvers all the way up to powder fatties. The Jackal is one of three models from Movement's Adventure series available in North America. At 105 mm in the waist, it's the widest of the three, designed to be a versatile, lightweight fat ski for expert skiers who might be hiking and touring for their turns. Like the Blaster and women-specific Flair, it doesn't have any rocker and suits skiers looking for the comfort, security, and predictability of a traditional design. It has a poplar core with fiber layers above and below, as well as rubber inserts intended to damp vibrations.
