Rossignol Alltrack Pro W 110 (2014)
It’s quite furry, but that didn’t prevent our ripper chick testers from putting this boot way up into the winners' bracket for how it fit and skied. Most of the comments ignored the pelt liner and focused on the cushioned, even flex and precisely contoured ankle pockets. Numerous test forms mentioned it “skied like a real boot” regardless of the hike mode and fluffy (Thinsulate) liner. More than one performance comparison was made to Rossi’s Electra Pro 110. It’s a roomy 100mm last with plenty of length and room at the toe box but its well-shaped ankle and heel areas help send strong and accurate messages to the skis. The stance was on the upright side of average and the cuff felt tall, but the long-travel, progressive flex-a bit soft for a 110-allowed all our testers to find a fore-aft sweet spot through a variety of different turn shapes and snow types. Balance was impeccable and side-to-side response and edge power was all there. Tester Comments: "There's gonna be a lot of girls who buy this boot on looks and get a great surprise-it rips." "I love, love, love the look of these boots. They are brilliant." "Could really drive a powerful turn. Exceeded my expectations for a hike mode boot."
