The LX 800 shares roughly the same shape as the XT 800 and RX 800, but the LX has an even more forgiving and less expensive construction. It's a frontside-oriented ski built for carve-ready performance on groomed snow, but its width and rocker and lightweight construction will keep it fun and loose in soft snow. The LX is a monocoque (structural cap) construction on a lightweight foam core, with one sheet of metal reinforcement. Salomon's All-Terrain Rocker combines zero camber with a rockered tip, so it will be buoyant in soft snow and smooth-riding in rough terrain, yet still responsive on the groomed. The LX 800 is sold as a system only. Its Z10 binding has a max DIN of 10.
