Scarpa Typhoon (2010)
With a lower cuff and softer flex than the Hurricane’s, as well as a walk/ski mode switch, it’s a better choice for sidecountry and backcountry skiers who want more downhill control than a lighter ski mountaineering boot provides. Like the Hurricane, it’s comfortable, light, and warm. PLUS: In walk mode, it has a wide range of motion. MINUS: Those accustomed to a race-bred freeride boot will find the Typhoon too soft for hard snow.
PRICE (MSRP): $699.00
