The Axis Pro is a soft-flexing, narrow waisted carving ski with a 71 mm waist and an ultra-deep sidecut for optimized short-radius carving. The Axis series comprises two models of frontside, groomer-oriented carvers targeted at novice to intermediate skiers. Both models are laminate constructions built on wood cores. Thinner core profiles give them a softer flex than higher-performance Stocklis. Both models get tip rocker to smooth the ride and absorb terrain shocks for improved balance. Stockli Skis, now 75 years old and under its third generation of family ownership, is based in Wohusen, Switzerland, near Lucerne.
