Between the early ’70s and late ’90s, the one-piece ski suit went from hotdogger haute couture to retiree wear (often with puffy hips and embroidery). But a spate of recent technical designs has skiers realizing those early freestylers were on to something: One-piece suits are warm, comfy, and ideal for keeping snow off your back and out of your pants. Our favorite of the latest batch is Rossignol’s waterproof-breathable Stinger Suit. Myriad pockets house gadgets and snacks, as well as a built-in goggle wipe, key ring, and emergency whistle. Zippered leg vents provide airflow.
