Salomon has refined and stripped down the Sideways for this winter. While it may lack a few features, it has a soft yet solid feel with three-layer ClimaPRO Storm fabric—the most waterproof in Salomon’s line—and a loose cut that fits like a hoodie. Add essential pockets for hands, sunscreen, and cell phone, and it’s ready for a long, deep day. Our only gripe: The hood, while easy to cinch tight, takes two hands to release.
