Salomon Scarlet (2008)
Though it was the widest ski in this category, the chubby Scarlet hopped from fluff to frozen granular with little effort. It prefers long, almost-straight arcs, but with a short, 18-meter turn radius it’s unexpectedly quick and lively.
Props
Stiff, stable, and trustworthy at speed.
Gripes
Not enough oomph for the big lines.
Tester's Take
"They read my mind: carvy and smooth on the groomed, mean and aggressive in crud." —Libby Biittner
PRICE (MSRP): $925.00
