Hello, I'm looking to buy a new pair of skis: I like to carve, but am also interested in twin tips (skiing backwards). My biggest concerns with my skis are having enough edge (grip)on steep icy faces and them not being too heavy to turn in bumps/powder.
Hello, I'm looking to buy a new pair of skis: I like to carve, but am also interested in twin tips (skiing backwards). My biggest concerns with my skis are having enough edge (grip)on steep icy faces and them not being too heavy to turn in bumps/powder.
I'm a woman, 5'8", 135lbs. I've been skiing my whole life. I will ski anything, but I mostly like black diamonds, but am venturing into the park and into moguls/trees. Also, I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I've always felt that since I have small feet (women's size 6) for my height, getting shorter skis makes it easier to make turns. However, it might just be the skis I've been skiing on.
I will be skiing mostly in the north east (Quebec), but occasionally in the west so I will need a ski that can handle both dry/icy conditions and heavy powder.
Any advice or recommendations would be very much appreciated : ).
