I bought one two years ago as an experienced expert level skier. I have a regular work out routine already so I am not sure if my conditioning improved but seeing myself on video, my form is dramtically better, my carving is better and my powder skiing is better. Considering I was a very good skier before and this created off season musle memory. Worth every penny.

I've had mine for three seasons now. Last year had a competely blown ACL. Rehabbed with the edge. legs and joint strong (opted for no surgery). Skiing better now, form is better, legs dont tire. I bought the full package with slope simulator. helps to recover when out of balance. Big money but bigger returns on the slpoes. good luck. They are running a sale right now.

Well...(this is NOT an add for the machine) I am a Physical Therapist, 40 years skiing, ex instructor and other than snow, I cant recommend a more direct training aid than the "edge" I have the "old" one with no features and use it for months every year sept-feb-ish. It provides the specific dynamic endurance for top-to-bottom runs when you take your big trips. It is probably best related to powder, bumps and short radius turns. Its also good for involving your inside edge/little-toe turns. Lots of plyometric energy. It is all lateral though, so when you get out there, make sure you add three dimensional thinking. (One big reason its IS so great is so few machines get lateral, plus it works on timing and balance) Enjoy..come try mine in Baltimore, or I'll bring it to some nearby Pennsylvania resort...
