California: Boreal and Mammoth are the first to open in the Golden State. Find out about Boreal here and read about Mammoth's opening day. Heavenly opens November 20, followed by Northstar-at-Tahoe and Squaw Valley on November 21. Squaw Valley opens November 21 with a BASE jump from the tram. Alpine Meadows has just set an opening date for December 5.
Nevada: Vegas, baby! Get your gamble on, then go shred the one open run at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort (which I bet you didn't know existed till now, right?). Find out more here.

Colorado: Kestone, Winter Park, Copper Mountain are now open! Check out the details of Wolf Creek's opening date. Loveland squeaked out a win over neighboring Arapahoe Basin this year. Both resorts are officially open—the first two in Colorado. Check out photos and a story from opening day at Loveland here. Breckenridge offers free pancakes for opening day on November 12.
Washington: Crystal Mountain opens Thursday, November 12. Mount Baker opens Thursday, November 12 with a 67-inch base and eight operating lifts. And Stevens Pass is opening soon as well.
Oregon: Mt.Hood Meadows now open.
British Columbia. Whistler and Sun Peaks open Saturday, November 14.
Vermont: Okemo is opening November 21.
New Hampshire: Bretton Woods is the first to open in New Hampshire.
Maine: Sunday River became the first ski area to open on the East Coast on October 14. They're open for weekends only for the time being. Read about it here.
