Surprisingly enough, the telemark community was out in force. Andy Glossner, dropping the knee.

This morning, we heard rumors that Intrawest and Powdr Corp were in the final stages of a negotiation to sell Colorado's Copper Mountain, which will be a Powdr Corp resort by the end of December 2009. We just got official word through a press release: Copper has been sold. But don't be alarmed: That Copper season pass you already bought is still good for this season. According to the press release, "Intrawest and Powdr Corp have committed to work together to ensure that all of the multi-mountain season pass products, vacation reservations and joint marketing initiatives will be honored for the 2009-2010 winter season."

Powdr Corp, which is based in Park City, Utah, owns and operates seven ski resorts including Park City Mountain Resort in Park City, Utah, Killington Resort and Pico Resort in Killington, Vermont, Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Oregon, Boreal Resort and Soda Springs Resort, both in Donner Summit, California, and Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Vacation packages, season passes, and lift tickets for Copper will continue to be available online at www.skicolorado.com.
