Last May, Stowe skier John Chudzik stripped to his birthday suit and flashed a steep chute on New Hampshire's Tuckerman Ravine -- to the wild acclaim of hundreds of onlookers basking far below on Lunch Rocks. Unfortunately for Chudzik, the friend who carried his clothes didn't possess quite the same, er, bravado. For 20 long, cold minutes this timid partner struggled through the chute, leaving Chudzik to hang out, as it were.
Inspired, five other yahoos stripped and followed. Four made it. The fifth slid, face down, over some 50 yards of spring crud. The cries from Lunch Rocks: "Bobbitt! Bobbitt!"
