19th Annual Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival Turns Up the Heat in the Tetons

ALTA, WY - (News Release) - In its 19th season, the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival continues to attract the contry's greatest bluegrass talent to an outdoor stage set amongst the scenic backdrop of the Tetons, making it an essential item for this summer's "to-do" list.

Hailed as the grandfather of bluegrass festivals in the Northern Rockies, the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival set for August 11-13 also provides great food, arts and crafts, games, and on-site activities. Tent camping in Grand Targhee's national forest will be available during the Bluegrass Music Festival Weekend. Music jams and contests round out this three-day extravaganza of fun and entertainment.

Guests will enjoy three full days of acoustic-based Americana, folk, blues, and roots music in addition to great food, vendors, games, and on-site activitiess, including the Gibson guitar and Weber mandolin contests. Tent camping in the national forest of Grand Targhee will also be available during the festival weekend.

Performances already scheduled for the Bluegrass Festival include Pagosa Hot Strings, Uncle Earl, Darrel Scott, Blue Highway, Brother Mule, Matt Flinner Trio, Shawn Camp, Kanes River, Tim O'Brien Band, and Peter Rowan and Friends.
