Arapahoe Basin, CO (May 14, 2003 - News Release) On Saturday, May 24, Arapahoe Basin will be hosting its second annual Festival of the Brewpubs. Five local breweries will each be taste-testing two of their favorite hand crafted ales. Brewpubs include Backcountry, Breckenridge, Dillon Dam, Pug Ryan's and the Great Northern Tavern.
A $13 14 oz. souvenir mug can be purchased for unlimited tastings from noon until 4:00 p.m. or while supplies last. (Must be 21 years of age.)
DJ KBK will be playing in the base area from noon until 2:00 p.m. Live entertainment starts at 2:00 p.m. with Denver's Opie Gone Bad, funky rock tunes on the front steps of the ticket office.
A-Basin has received over 420" of snow this season and spring skiing and riding conditions have never been better. A-Basin currently boasts a 79" midway base and is open from 8:30 a.m. weekends and 9:00 a.m. weekdays until 4:00 p.m.
All lifts are running serving 100% of the terrain including the East Wall. All skier services are available including ski and board rentals, ski school, retail shop, café and bar. For rails, jumps, bumps and thrills, a new upper mountain terrain park has been added in the last few weeks in addition to the mid-mountain terrain park.
